2005, July 04:
GOOD NEWS:
According to the communication from Bernard Blum (IBMA), SANCO decided on a meeting Wednesday last week to withdraw EPN from the new draft version of the directive 91/414 ECC. They have mentioned to IMBA that they were surprised by so many protest notes and confessed that it might have been a mistake to "assimilate EPN under microorganisms". Thanks to all of you for the strong support and reactions against this approach. I hope in the future SANCO will involve experts before implementing costly regulation. As far as I know, none of us was asked for an opinion.
EPN still going strong.
